    While innovation shouldn’t be held back in any area, humanity is not quite ready for space.

  2. April 26th, 2009 at 00:42 | #2

    @Brenton

    How is humanity not ready for space?
    I don’t understand that statement, because I believe we’re not just READY for space but it’s becoming a REQUIREMENT of the future.

    @Jesse Ambler
    I would say, because of the way our system is. Do you really want Monetary-based people to colonise another planet? Taking into account all the corruption and horror that comes from a money based society (such as nuclear weapons… do you want those in space?).

  4. April 28th, 2009 at 13:52 | #4

    Space would probably be the perfect place to test the feasibility of Jacques work, think about a place where there is no government and no monetary system – Absence of government and money = no corruption. Setting up a colony on the moon for example would probably require some kind of central computer ensuring that the air is recycled and that water and food are always available. One of Fresco’s ideas is after all to have a central computer making basic decisions for us. This colony could grow into a mega city based on Frescos nucleus city.

    @Jose Pita
    There are ways to create a government free society on Earth.

  6. April 30th, 2009 at 11:12 | #6

    @Brenton
    Maybe but, that would require a complete “redesign”, patch work never lasts, sometimes its better to start from scratch – maybe antartica woould be a good place to start :)

    International waters are government free.

    Have you heard of the SeaStead project? They are building homesteads in international waters. We need to get them hooked up with Jacque.

    I’m amazed by The Venus Project and I’ve started to spread the word among my friends and relatives. My only problem is the language since I can’t find all this information in other language than english (My native language is spanish). So, I guess all this impressive work would be more accessible to every citizen of the word by adding optional subtitles and translations to 3 or 4 key-languages. Congratulations to people interested in change the world.

    People are working on this Guillermo. If you can contribute to translations feel free to.

    Hi mr Jaque, i’m Bah. Bah is a way to change our world, like your project, is a way to live our lives. I could join Venus Project, cause your vision was in my mind before you said a word, so, maybe much more human has the same way to solve our society problems… and our way seems the best. So, the revolution start in different minds, all over the world, but why you think yours and mine project seems similar. Sorry for my bad english, i don’t know if my explaination will be nice. I hope u undestand what i mean. Brake the humans limitations. Thanks for listening. BAH.

    Dear Jaque, the ideas you are expressing I had forty years ago. About the time when you gave this interview. Then I started to realize these ideas and built up a place for people to live together. It worked for twenty years and up to twenty people were living together: Without doing any thing for money, doing that what is necessary and what makes sense. Working on themselves… Since three years we have a lack of people and it looks like that we will need to close the place, although every thing is established and there is space and food for more than twenty people. I would like to offer FalconBlanco as an open experiment for people who are interested in the Venus project and want to live this in praxis. I am trying to keep this place, but I am working too much just to maintain the place and I have other projects that are more essential for me, like making videos, a radio talk show and other things. Do you see a possibility that we can do something together?
    I guess we are about the same age, so there might not so much time left… I want to use the remaining 10 or twenty years more efficient. What do you think?
    With kind regards

    i agree with BAH since i was a kid i always thoght why do i have to comply to the present system, my ideas were better and i couldnt believe that i was the only one with thoses ideas. Growing up i still thoght that something was wrong and figured that there was a will to keep things like they were. Space is great, international waters also but what about changing the curent system and put all our energy to figure aout how to peacefully change day to day things insted of beeing part of a small elite that think is going to change the world and isolate itself to become a sectarian group. and how we change day to day things is to spread the word talk about it arround you, informe people, include people, dont fall into elitist thinking, thinking that you have the answear and that your better than anyone else. thats how you start to change the world not by going into space or onto an island.

    My 2 cents thank you for reading.

    Humanity needs to work as a collective in order to achieve this goal, that alone is a massive task. Changing an idea that is hundreds of years old is inherently extremely hard to do. I agree with jesse ambler in the fact that space will eventually become a necessary requirement for human existance. In addition to that curiousity, a trait that is inherently human will ever drive forward the search for answers to questions like, why are we here? are we the only ones in the universe? Obiviosly the monetary system needs to be eliminated in order to take this step forward. When Jaque Fresco says there is no limit to what humanity can do without the burdens of government and price tag he really means it. The whole concept sends my imagination rampant. Think about it a person not inhibited by money could really achieve allmost anything. I truely believe that this is possible since the majority of humans are in the margin that requires this change. I support this cause with all my heart and mind in ordure to bring humanity to an even greater grandure.

    I must say I hope that one day humans can live in outer space. I know this may sound like I watched a lot of zenon girl of the 21st century but what I was hopeing for was that a space station could be built and it could be a chose wrather are not you wanna live in space areon earth. I think it would be wonderful. For all the holy people that feel that its trying to take on a higher power they can stay here.

    If I remember correctly, someone was asking Jacque a question at the London university lectures about the idea of people’s habitation preferences. e.g. What would give someone the right to maybe live on the top floor of a building (perhaps with the best views, ocean, mountains, etc)as against living on the ground floor (no views etc) Leaving aside the fact that some people don’t particularly like living in the clouds, might it not be possible to design buildings that are revolving so that everyone can enjoy the same benefits at various times?

    Clinton talks about the klimatchange and terrorism,the same old bilderberg talking,nothing about against war,ore get rid of nuklear wapons,nothing about a resource based economy without monetary system,he says its a voting issue for change,he isnt interested for change,ore give up power,he talks to much and wonna charge us with CO2 taxes for global warming,he is a fake.CO2 isnt polluting the air,its very unscintific,Clinton doesnt know anything about of the photosynthesis,that plants tourn Co2 in to oxygan,without co2 live is impossible,when you the highest aducated people in the world (USA) than do not talking and laing about CO2,CLINTON IS A LAiER,he should lock up in a chemistry book that co2 isnt the reason for incresing of tempeture change,ore lock last year the breakdown of the co2 issue in kopenhagen,clinton is a warlord like any other us president,he sees us better death than alive,I dont belive any word he is saying,clinton is a pupped of the illuminati,bilderberger,he talks to much and katagorizes people.

    Dear Mr. Fresco, my name is John T. Noonan, and for the past 2yrs, I’ve been designing a 11,000 person Spacestation, 17 Decks High, approx. 445 ft, 2 Rings, 12 Arms, Park/Atrium, Shuttlecraft Landing Bay for 5 Spacecraft, 1,044 ft in diameter, with recyclling of water/waste, using solar panels for power, and a host of other things. It would be an honor if you could give me a fax number so that I could send some prilims to you for your opinion. Also, it would be stationed 123,000 miles out into space between the Earth and Moon as a stepping stone to industrialize the Moon and Mars. There are 300 labs for science and technology experimentation and a host of other things, like a Hospital/Sickbay, Cafateria/Food Court, and outer circumference of 1,936 ft. You suggestions in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Your Friend in Future Life, John
