What else can I say besides “I agree”? What else can I do besides spreading the word about this project? I can open my mind and keep on moving towards a true change within. A portuguese musician once said: “Some folks try to clean the whole world and they forget to clean their own backyard”.

I believe that unless this message reaches everyone The Venus Project will not be a valid solution for the problems of human kind and our beautiful planet. It’s path each one of us must walk.

Anyway, it’s a great relief to see a light at the end of the tunnel (and no, it’s not a train), to see that I’m not the only that knows what must be done. To you at The Venus Project I wish that you keep walking the path. I will keep walking too, helping as I can, so that future generations can enjoy a better life.

A society where people are able to pursue individual pursuits, what is relevant and interesting to them would be so much more beneficial than the present culture of ‘dream while you’re a child, but mature into a worker when you’re older‘.
It’s so awful that children are able to dream when they’re young, but have to over time close and refine that spectrum for the monetary structure.
Even worse is asking children what job they want when ‘they grow up’. I remember my school did this to the new (youngest) students in front of the whole school. Senior students would walk a child on stage and ask ‘what do you want to do when you grow up?’

We have to change this, and as Jacque says, become more human.

It really becomes clear when we understand that all our present problems are because of poverty, war, politics and crime. The reason for all these is the monetary system, which was artificially created by greedy and corrupt men. There’s no such thing as a price tag in nature. Does the Sun or the air have a price tag? No. Then why do we need such a system. The fact is that money can never contribute to welfare of the society. We need to reject the system and try to live in harmony with nature.

There are many things to do to spread this direction, and it’s not just spreading the word about The Venus Project. For example, making one’s self ’scientifically literate’ – that means to be able to maintain a meaningful discussion about things of Scientific relevance.

My ‘careers co-ordinator’ at school has asked me “What job do you want after university? What career do you want out of the course you’re going to apply for?” I usually reply that I couldn’t care for such erroneous notions, to anyone that asks me. I’m going to do a Bachelor of Humanities and Science at university. This will be a starting point for me to begin coming informed in a broad range of relevant areas, I feel, though certainly not the entire basis.

We just need to lead lives as close as we would imagine ourselves doing if we were living in a Resource-based Economy (correct me if you disagree Jacque or Roxanne) right now. Taking into account that 90% of occupations will eventually become irrelevant, what does that leave us with? Really only the creative aspects of life – to put them under faculties: Humanities (Arts) and Sciences.

This is the model for the future of Human Society. It is neither easy to acheive nor is it viable without unanimous support from the whole of humanity. The only thing i would like

to add to this in the moment is that one should not think that all our strife will be eradicated. I listened to the lady from the venus project talking about how there is no human

nature and that people become much more amiable when releived of the pressure of having to work in tedious jobs and having to live under the monetary system. This is true but

there IS an inherent number of qualities to human nature; one of these is “dissatisfaction” all things are unsatisfactory in nature due to the human perception of the world. We

need an enlightened perception in order to eradicate this. The “Kilesas” (such as fascination, lust etc) are the root of our sufferings. Anger,and other negative emotions such as

jealousy and pride, will not be eradicated by the invention of a society without work as we know it or a monetary system. For example, the fact that we will be able to choose

wherever we wish to live, and how our beautiful home will look like, will make us accustomed to having everything we want. This is not good for combating selfishness. People

will compete through personal pride for how well one’s acheivements are, such as engineers will be trying to beat each other with their inventions, painters with their paintings,

etc. In Buddhism, it is the strength of your psychological inclinations which influence where you are reborn. Pride and jealousy causes one to be born in the Asura realm (jealous

gods/monsters).. spoiling ourselves in the way presented in the society suggested by the Venus project will only serve to make us all selfish, and the “unlimited” resources

acheived with the natural sciences suggested will elave us dissatisfied with the things we have. Only the fact of having to strive for something lets us value that thing. I am afraid

that the “anything you want and however you want it” facet of the venus project is based on egoistic desire and greed, laziness.
The concepts is over hedonistic and will result in Humanity becoming a buch of spoilt kids. It is better to learn (as we of the Buddha Sangha do [i am a Buddhist monk]), to be

happy without craving or luxury, and to learn to appreciate and share what one has with the world. The anihillation of selfish desires is the path to inner happiness, and the

development of the 10 perfections is the way to liberation from all sufferings. This said, if we apply the basic principles used in Buddhism, and many other “ways of living” taught

in various places in this universe, then a society like the one suggested in the Venus project would be wonderful. But not the aspect of unlimited access to (over) indulgence in

whatever one wishes. This is not good for “character building” and will result in an extremely self-centred mindset. Once tyhe power fails or we have to do without (e.g. a tidal

wave causes a blackout for a week, or we are attacked by an alien civilisation, or a drought or new bacterial virus), we will suffer greatly for not having learned to accept the

“doing without luxury” which we will have become accustomed to (everything on the push of a button). Apart from this, death is anyway a difficult thing to accept and it is clear

that leaving everything behind will be all the more harder if we become too accustomed to having all the things we want, when we want them.
Self sacrifice and humility will become unknown concepts.

Hi.I’m a doctor from India and am also battling Hodgkins lymphoma.My diagnosis made me view life very differently.Being a human being is a great gift because we are unique.We are unique in many ways but the best thing is our insight.Instead of using it to make the world a better place,we continue to be sucked into this rat race to earn and get rich.Who created this madness?I’m all of 24 and Hodgkins disease is curable.But I’ve realised that I can choose how I want to live the rest of my life.I certainly don’t want to squander it away working meaninglessly to gather money so that my children can educate themselves and work again to gather money!

Been trying to ’spread the word’ by contacting as many public figures as I can get email or contact information for. Many celebrities speak of caring for humanity so I thought I’d try to see if they could sort of “put their $$$ where there mouth is” by backing Jacques movie he wants to make. I say this because escatolgists probably agree that there is a time coming when people will be microchipped and enslaved under the final fruition of the present economic system.

Escatologically, shortly after this happens, the return of Jesus in inevitable and he sets up a thousand-year rule of peace and justice.

My question to those who believe this biblical prophesy is this: How will Jesus administer compliance to the paradigm of the day? How will he enforce his rule? Will we be a high-tech or low-tech society?

I do agree that a paradigm shift will happen. What will trigger this shift? Will it be political revolution? The causal effect of war? Unanimous rebellion toward the present system seems so out of reach. What can trigger the shift? Attrition through education is a hopeless battle; there are just too many brainwashed subjects to overcome.

I’m interested in hearing the opinions of others as to how they think this shift could be possible. What could enable the Venus Project world-plan to actively reign as the predominant existence?

Yes it is all beautiful and promising. But nothing will change before people can quiet their egos. How much does a person need for a day or lifetime to live? As it appears from the movies is that most of us(or well … none of US who can afford to use a laptop) will have to do a $1 a day. Can you imagine that? Do you really think that people who drive in luxury cars and own mega villas could be someone ordinary? Nothing will change before. Let’s say you have your futuristic and all free planet. The human mind as well as animal mind wants to possess something (try to take away a puppy’s toy or baby’s one.. they will not be very happy), let’s say everybody has a car that runs on air…free. There will be individuals who want to stand out of the crowd, have a bigger one etc. And the circle starts all over. But still it is a great concept and worth to try as the current ideas and traditions are failing. So let’s all carry on and make it a better place to live.

I agree with Matt and with the Buddhist Monk. The human heart must first undergo some sort of shift. Matt’s comment that even if vehicles were free and air powered, someone will want a bigger one is correct. To add to that, what happens when a free-car, free-power car’s driver selfishly crashes into me, or hits my child because he was driving like a maniac, out of control and ultimately it was his attitude that caused the crash? How do we fix his attitude before he steps into this new world?

THIS is the ultimate question of the viability of the genius that is the Venus project. “Can’t we all just get along?” Well, no, we can’t. Even if EVERYONE agreed in the possibilities, there will still be too many manipulative, sociopathic, evil people to allow harmony to exist. There will still be a dischord in the world.

Some phycological “neutering” must exist for such people, and harsh legislations and enforcements must be in place, but then the harmony is distorted by fear. But then what about the human capacity for error?

Only a psychic, evolutionary paradigm shift in the biology of the human being can allow such vision to live.

You know we can’t do it for now, do you? Impossible it is to change the world’s economy like that, just by saying the resource-based economy is holding us back as species. It’s all right, for sure, but being right isn’t enough to make changes, and you know that. Sometimes, yeah, you really have to take the wrong path ir order to do changes. Once again, religious notions plague your thinking. It is not the human heart, which is an organ that pumps blood, not some magical centerpiece of a human being. Thought will be changed by speaking truth to power. The answers lie in our ability to reason and think. Through science, we have the ability, for the first time in human history, to acknowledge the truth. We can prove things, through science and the scientific method, that were only conjecture and opinion before. We have to show, through truth and what we do know, that the way to harmony and peace is through understanding our world and the forces within it. How can anybody beleive this theory can possibly be correct or logical?
The movie Zeitgeist constantly implies using logic to resolve problems such as religion and law but this entire project is not logical at all.
It is irrelevant as to how much of an abundance our natural resource levels are at if human greed still excists, which it always will. Ask any psychologist if humans will ever be able to break free from our brains faults, it is impossible. I have a teacher at my school who i’ve had many discussions with about the corruption of our governmental systems with and he has answered many of my questions on how the brain works, we will always want more than the person next to us. people will begin to stockpile goods to become “better” than everyone else. Then our society moves from a profit society to a hoarding society, is one better than the other? people will still be unequal. If whoever is in charge of this Venus society begins to limit the amount of goods people can have then we become controlled society which basically takes away the point in living. I would be more than pleased if someone would answer my questions as i am still a young student trying to filter out the truth and myth in our society

My family and I have just discovered The Venus Project. Life has changed drastically for each of us in the last year. We’ve made an agreement between ourselves to co-operate, getting back to the basics of life… Each of us know what it is to have and have not. We are finding a balance between ourselves and nature and working together to build a foundation based on equal effort toward self-sufficiency. Little by little we’re trying to get away from a system of condemnation and desolation. I’m truly happy and grateful that we’re not the only ones who see and feel this way. It’s a tremendous relief to know there are others out there who know what we know. I have many questions about The Venus Project. Deep in the human mind is the acknowledgement of a creator, or a system of creation-a design. In the the west, some label it “God”. In the East, some lable it the Tao. In reality, when it’s put in a box, it fails to exist as it is. The sum total power of creation exists, nevertheless.

It’s not brainwashing or any such culturalization that instills instinctive connection or awareness of such a power of creation, whatever definition you give it.

“Not scientifically proven”? The first law of thermodynamics proves a universal matrix created. The total energy of a system and its surroundings remains a constant. Matter can neither be lost nor gained in any chemical reaction. The change in the energy system equates to a transferrence of the matter that already exists. The conservation of energy law is not brainwashing or culturalization, unless one thinks that it is just another “the world is flat” paradigm. If it is, it’s the best we have at present.

And wouldn’t logic state that if there is a universal creation of matter, including the Earth and all of its inhabitants, flora, fauna, microbes, etc., so chartable, so provable, so mathamatically predictable, with such complexity down to it’s molecular detailing, that there is a system or “thing” unimaginable to our chemical brains (which themselves were created out of that pre-existed slurry/matrix) which created it all?

We give everything a name. Because people are simple-minded for the most part, this culture or that culture calls “IT” God or the Tao or anthropomorphistic names. It’s just the creation’s primal awareness of the creative power itself.

After THAT, THEN man’s manipulative nature comes in and takes the ball and runs with it. He divides and regulates and creates his little religeon, and ultimately, he pushes universal, mathamatical creative power aside for his ego by making seating charts, money pleas, gongs and beads and doves and other trinkets for sale is his quest to provide for his personal needs within the monetary system he’s created, putting for sale his inherent knowledge of a universal creation. Ego: Edging God Out.

This same Ego, in a more elitist package, denies the existence of such Creative Power and places itself and its owner as the master of its own creation.

Having said that, my comments and questions were directed toward those with a boxed-in view of God in the form of deep seeded beliefs in the Judeo-Christian culture, those who adhere to the dominant documents of this age. Whatever my personal view is doesn’t change the reality of this age.

Atheists seem to get very lathered-up in the area of definitions that acknowledgers of a spiritual realm use. There appears to exist a prejudice against someone who uses the word “God” when what he really means “The Unfathomable Power of the Universal Creation.” Or when he says “The Bible” what he may mean is “The Dominant Codified Authority of the Age”. Maybe when he says “The heart,” he means, “The spirit of the self, operating within the cellular realm of the human body”. He gives it a name. He may know all the implications of what he means by that name, or he may not. You may re-package his name to suit your OWN set of beliefs or you may understand exactly what he means. Does that make sense?

The truth exists in the creation itself. It is. Despite me now siting the source, the Bible calls “God” “I am”. It just is. Because of man’s hierarchy of needs, he anthropomorphises I AM. It gives him a goal and a pathway in attempting to understand the 4th and 5th dimensions of I AM.

The question remains, how can a pyschic paradigm shift occur for the sort of awareness that can bring about the Venus Project’s vision. I mean, without Lynn’s implication that we round up the youth, separate them from their parents and indoctrinate them in re-education camps?

There’s so much going on these days. People are sensitive and can feel that we’re going straight in a dead end concerning environment. I think that’s the first step wich can ignite a change. Are we waiting for some private firms to cover our back when the storm will come ? Guess we can always keep our eyes closed and pray for some miracles to happend …
We are forced to change,to adapt, neither in this sick monetary system or without it, and we’ll better do it fast. That is a fact.
Going down the way of changing our mind about the world we live in, the responsability we have to keep it sustainable is one step, but i personnly think it’s one giant step for us to be called human.
I don’t think many people today disagree with that. Just think how it was just 10 years before, with the deny of our responsability of climate changes.
Still we are stuck with some old (and/or fake) concept that make us fear any radical social changes.
But as individuals we can do a lot, like sharing our knowledge with our direct surrounding. Taking the time to educate our childrens correctly is one of the first priority we should have. In this matter we have to show them that we take actions and that we are not just simply sheep running out for money. Therefore we should stop being blind consummers and boycott all the products that are dangerous for us and/or environment (with the help of many internet database which give us the real origin of the products and how they are produced), and so support a fair trade system with responsible producers as a start. Another step is to stop confronting others in their believing because we need to discuss on more important matters and the action we can take has nothing to do with that at first. Then we will certainly see changes occurs in our own way of thinking too.
There’s so much we can do in this way, that finnaly will make us more and more aware on how we can oppose the system to force it to change. As a result being more and more human ourselves in the choices we make.

Hi China, I agreewith you that access to resources without limitation may cause lazyness. I believe that a resource based society is a thousand times better than the current system, plus, access to resources will create a viriety of new incentives; love, charity, kindness etc will be the driving force behind humanity. As for God; I have to believe in a superior being mainly because I cant explain how humanity came to being. Sure scietisst want us to believe that we evolved from something ages and ages ago (Sounds like a fairytale to me). The truth is that Icant prove that God created everything, neither can the scientists scientifically prove that the world is billions of years old and everything eveolved on it… the fact is that mankind is here on earth and we have to live together in harmony. But harmony cannot be achieved while the monotery sytem is in power. the solution offerd by the vVenus project is by far the best. we should focus our energy on trying to make the project a reality.. suggestions?

To answer your endless rhetoric about “God” or whatever you want to call it/him/her, you should open a very fine book that goes by the title of “God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins. There you might find some answers.

In addition, by trying to ‘twist’ the accomplishments of physics to support your own view is not the ’scientific way’.

Anyway, you say something about psychic and biology!!! I am not aware that those two are interconnected and I have not heard any reliable biologist claiming that such a connection exists. Now, you give an example of a car that crashes upon someone. Clearly, you have not read that cars and other means of transportation will be automated and controlled by a central computer so that those accidents will be eliminated or at least minimal.

Now about indoctrination… No, no indoctrination is needed. Indoctrination is needed to follow a religion, yes, but here we are in the process of educating sentient beings free of such superstitions. Thus, an educated mind will learn to think, and here is the most important part, by applying the scientific method in his day-to-day life.

So, no education camps, no separation, just free will to pursue every aspect of the life you want. It will be a long and difficult road but we will walk it.

For a while i have been thinking that i am the only person that exists on this earth that really cares about peoples well being. I have been thinking of ways to change small populations views in the east. allowing these people to live off land and share with each individual within the area. of course this is just a dream as i do not have the life span or the finance at the start to buy large areas of land to adapt such change, and to allow these people to really see life for what it is and should be. we are all equal on this planet but still, we allow so many people to suffer. desire is a great thing providing we channel it correctly, if not it can be the suffering of man and the beings around him.

the only thing that is allowing me to follow a purer life is what the buddha taught. i cannot say that everything i perceive is correct but the philosophy on many things is helping me with my anger of what the world is currently. we cannot blame an individual for ones ignorance but the society he/she has been brought up in. in order for this project to succeed we need to have a leader such as the dalai lama or someone who has shown world peace, to educate the truth before its too late. im not saying that the dalai lama is more superior to others but im saying for example. such a being could have a great influence on the rest of the world because of his status.

The thing about the truth is that it stands up to emotion and denial. I have made a habit of showing people Zeitgeist Addendum especially the Fresco interview. this is not a conspiracy theory but it is the logical end of the monetary system. The truth is that everyone knows the monetary system along with technological advancement is going to doom many more people to poverty.

John, I also read “The God Delusion” and more or less enjoyed it, but it only refutes institutionalized religion, the kind that needlessly encroaches on science’s purposes, but any informed ’spiritual’ person knows that the various ancient religions are all fundamentally the same for some reason, but come dressed in the superficialities of the culture the specific religion flourishes in. Those are the things that must be transended. There is nothing wrong with a person using the term “God” in its abstract sense, but it is certainly ridiculous to get hung up on its anthropomorphic, or the shallow imagery of the symbols, which are merely shadows of the true meaning that we have no words for. Such behavior only leads to senseless violence. Let the scientist document the physical world, but listen to the theologion when he warns our perceptions are inextricably (for the most part) flawed. I think you’d particularly benefit from reading Joseph Campbell’s “Hero with the Thousand Faces”, if you haven’t already.

I really dislike it when people begin with things like ‘The first law of thermodynamics proves a universal matrix created’ and go on to somehow link that with some sort of weird pseudo-religious psychobabble. I read some of the laws of thermodynamics (in Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time) and as a refresher, looked at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_law_of_thermodynamics to make sure that I was not losing my mind and the laws were revised to include illogical madness.

I’d really like to know how someone can, if I understood correctly, conclude that things like telepathy and telekinesis exist quoting from the laws of thermodynamics when virtually every scientifically conducted study observes otherwise? O.o

Hi everybody. I like Raylene proactive attitude. I am myself engaged in making friends through Face Book and talking with them about the VP. The Venus Project it is just one person´s live dream ( marevelous one so far) about a bertter new life. It is a starting point. But it is a wonderful platform to grow together in search of Love, Peace, Solidarity, Sustainability, Abundance, Joy… Imagine that we all as a society could share the same values and could work together all our lives (like Jacques Fresco and Rosanne) to make our dream come true.

The past 3 years, i fellt that something is very wrong. I can honestly not belive, that we are supposed to leave our children in daycare, because we have to run around and collect money for food. This is wrong.
Because the stress to get money, we do not have the time to stop and ask why?! We are like ants in a antstack. running around, feeding the queen, and thats it. We are all so bissy, we dont have time to see the beuty in nature or even for a moment stop to think, what we are doing, or ask oureself, could it be in an other way!I sadly think that religion is and has always been, the most powerful way to make people stop thinking abuot importent things, and not see the how grandios and capable we. really are.

There is one thing that I would like to bring up about this information. When I try to explain this to other people, who as we all know, have a difficult time envisioning these concepts, over and over again I get hostilities about how reasonably possible it is. I believe this comes from not having a clear understanding on how this revolution will occur. If you could, and if you read this, please make an article or any other kind of accessible media that explains how the process may occur between the now and the integration of this revolution. I see a clear present and a clear future, but in between is hazy. I’m sure this will not be an easy task to accomplish, and I will try with others to help contribute ideas and explanations for how this will happen. If I a am mistaken and this information is out there already then disregard this, I will inevitably find it! We can change a world with lack of vision, we just need to know the answer to the equation so to speak… The people who can’t envision it are a variable (call them “x”), the people who don’t care are a variable (call them “y”), and the elites that are resistant or absolutely not going to give up their status and power (call them “z”). Once we figure out how to socially engineer these groups by leading their thoughts into a new paradigm of thinking with all of us who understand how critical and possible this is (us being “w”, we can complete the equation w+x+y+z=”revolution”! It’s possible to change the minds of stubborn people who have very non-emergent ideas about the way the world is, we just have to find the answers! But by not believing in the potential of the human mind by being frustrated by how difficult, and we all know how difficult this path is, is more counterproductive then helpful! Always believe that we CAN DO THIS, we just have to keep trying, and keep learning!

Begin to de-emphasize the Scarcity tactics we have all been taught.
Become self sufficient – then share that.

Change has to come from somewhere and this change can only start with in ourselves in order to move forward. I myself am going through a huge change in my life and at the moment it is taking baby steps in order to get through it.

If you think that greed is not a learned behaviour, you are wrong. It is taught in our schools as early as kindergarden. If this new system of thought is implemented, do you think greed will also be taught?

I believe that if this new economy is implemented, this world will be a much nicer place to live with far fewer idiots around to fill our jails, and as for the mental institutions, they will more than likely be filled with people that need ‘adjustments’ instead of incarceration.

the worst thing that has ever happened to this planet is the arrival of humans and thus, the human variable. Curiosity never killed the cat, humans did as did they most other things. Even without exposure to any form of suggestive activity humans will explore. They will explore sex, love, murder, differences and similarities, questions and answers.

The day we stop asking questions is the day we cease to purposefully exist. The hows and whys of life are questions which are to this day still largely unanswered.

Philosophy, scientific research and educated logic are healthy constructive activities but placing total and absolute faith in a being superior to humans who has an ultimate plan and set guidelines and rules for seeing out this plan with no room for questioning not to mention eternal brutal and relentless violent torture and death for simple speculation, is ridiculous, pathetic, defeatist, anti progress, inhuman and frankly laughable.

The venus project opens avenues for research, exploration and learning on a level unimagined as of yet.

One thing we must maintain is humility. We dont want to end up sounding like preachers with a plan for the world…evidently that approach causes more problems than it dreams to solve.

Hi! I have a 5 y.o. due to start school. He doesn’t want to go. He doesn’t like the idea of being told what to do, when to eat, when he can go outside etc… He has already built a maglev train in the laundry out of balsa wood, magnets, a fan and solar panels. He builds and experiments and learns more than school is offering. He is horrified to sit on a mat and sing 3 little frogs. He already understands humanities future and interconnectedness. If I don’t send him to school what do I do with him?? Is there an online school or something where he can follow his dreams and ideas. Does the venus project have a school or recommend one? I am not yet able to find a way to homeschool. Please, please, any ideas.

I wathched the Venus Project movie last night and was impressed with some of the ideas. However, the seeming need to rely only on science and absent spirituality concerned me greatly. Thank you for stating exactly what my spirit was saying. We are in the situation we are in largly due to our unwillingness to open ourselves to Love. Science with out submission to Love is just another ism.

One thing that we might fail to understand, and that is that the TNAT
or Technocracy inc. is an exclusive club, no different from any other
privatley owned business that is working today. My thought goes
something like this. ‘Well, we ‘possess’ resources here in North
America and you don’t, well then screw you, over there in Africa and
India etc. you’re on your own baby, and if you attempt to steal our
resources, we’ll blow you up with our military!’ Now doesn’t this
sound familiar? There’s really no difference between the exclusive
private interests who control the money supply of the world, and those
who control the resources of the world, essentially we’ll be saying
that we own North America because we live here. So, our money
interests and our resource interests are exclusive to the relative
proximity to the source of the money and or resources that any
particular group, caste, or class power structure can control for
serving their own special interests. And both interests are exclusive
to their given proximity to the base of their resource power, either
real or symbolically imagined. This is the problem.

Now how do we help solve the problems, not only of North America, but
of all the world? We have to look from the top meaning the whole
earth, down to the sum of each and every part. Lets begin with looking
at how everyone in the world can benefit from an abundance that we ALL
require to sustain our lives, this is my ALL inclusive thought, and
until we get to that place of thinking beyond the exclusiveness of our
group power, and can INCLUDE EVERYONE, then all this thought power
will be wasted, and no real solutions can ever be found.

I don’t know about you guys, but i come from a country which has had about 50 years of socialist government. I really like how the project sounds like but i can’t help but notice that the ideals presented here have a striking resemblance to a communist utopia.
It is very hard for me to trust people who preach about a perfect world and a perfect system, based on total equality and equity. Love the designs, but i tend to disagree even with the possibility of founding a perfect world based on imperfect beings (humans).

Please remember that the Venus Project is NOT PERFECT, but it’s A LOT BETTER than what we have now.
We are on a permanent journey to reach improvement.
Also, in this new world we expect, terms as socialism, fascism, etc., will cease being relevant at all. Thinking itself will change radically.

I’ve been a fan of the Venus project for a year or two, and think the ideas presented here are wonderful.

I do, however, think it is also slightly impractical. Not as in un-doable by any means – we can and must follow this path to survive and prosper as a species. By impractical I mean that there is too much focus on theory and not enough focus on practice. How do we get from here, with all of our current problems, to there, with all the benefits? The best intentions in the world never changed anything, only action.

And I’m not convinced it will be bloodless – few radical changes ever are. While we may have the best intentions in the world, existing power structures are well entrenched, and won’t give up without a fight. A fight we can’t give them – if we sink to the traditional methods of force and violence, we’ve already lost what we were fighting for.

I don’t have a complete answer, of course, but I’m looking for one. I’ve recently started a new blog, with the express purpose of working out in writing how we get from here to there (as well as spreading the word). The site is still fairly new and the early articles scattered, but rest assured that the messages of the Venus project and the Zeitgeist movies are my primary message. find a charter school, and talk to the administrator. Perhaps your child needs to be tested before starting school, to see where he is functining on all needed skill levels. He needs some type of non-traditional format to give enough structure that all areas needed are still covered, but as he is ready and needs the different instructions. As a parent of 3 gifted and one retarded child, I can tell you that you will have to make getting the gifted child an appropriate education your life’s work, starting now.

The Venus project is a wonderful idea and it will need many people to support and develop it. Thank you guys for your dedication. I have some thoughts that I’d like to share with all of you: do you really think that the technology will help developing healthy and happy humans? I am afraid that we do not understand the basic structure of this form of consciousness called “life on earth”. We’ve been developing technology and it’s been turned against the idea of humans. I believe that to reach this level of “life” we need to reprogram humans first. It’s been proven so many times that the more we develop technology the more we suffer. The human’s project is failing. Every single idea about developing the life outside of life structure was proven wrong. That is what is happening with the “bad guys” who create society on wrong premises. Money as an idea, by itself does not have any power to do anything. But people with undeveloped mind, who do not know who they really are can use that idea and turn it into a monster. They are simply not aware of the whole process. At the end of “life” on this level everything on this level will stay here.
Before we go on and start any single “new” or “old” idea, we need to put everything into the right perspective. Not a single thing on this level of consciousness cannot be ” alive” unless we as humans put our life energy into it. I’d like to say – heal the human’s idea first and than everything else will come through us. The beauty, the life, the creation.
To reprogram the idea of humans, we need to know and understand the whole process of creation, simply because we are the only one who can do that. We, as the representatives on this level of consciousness have the power, the knowledge and everything was given to us by the same idea of human’s creation.
If we do not give the chance to the idea of the ideal of human beings, I am afraid that we will end every single thought of the development into a disaster.
Please give us a chance to become the ideal of the idea of humans first. Everything else will follow us, as it always did.

How can all these wonderful things happen? they cannot. I believe that what the Venus project proposes is a true alternative to the way of life we lead now, but I must face the truth about people and say that most will not change. Sure, we voice such positive opinions to make ourselves look better in front of others, but few people will initiate a change in themselves, few will immediately act upon their convictions and stop using gasoline and take the bike to work instead. We bow and scrape for the lord and queens and celebrities of this world, forgetting that they are those belonging to a class which leads us all by our noses – or better said by our dreams of being like them.

So to say, my opinion is that change will not happen, not to the level required in order to move the Venus project to an “enterprise” which will yield results matching and eventually surpassing the evil done to planet earth. We are all being too optimistic. The western world and our model of living will extract the last bit of life from the earth, before realizing it’s all gone and we need to change.

I believe The Venus Project will come into exsitence when we have the complete collapse of Wall Street, Major Banks, Big Corporations. Jobs are becoming scarce due to the fact of automation and outsourcing. There will be a time when they’re twice as many people than jobs. Hopefully then people would wake up and realize there is better solution, which is The Venus Project. My question to any one out there is can we start up The Venus Project on small scale? For instance any nation with sufficient resources and technology and setup a Venus Project society for a trial run. If it’s a success other nations would follow.

i dont know where to start what to say or not ..
@the VP it is amazing yes .. but as long as structure and levels exist i doubt much will be changed (or shall change back so to say at a later stage)
some will be engineers and will avail higher benefits others farmers and cleaners and different. some living in higher panormaic suites and some basement .. what about all the people already with soo much of possessions and property and bank balance.
we will need to get over soo much in order to actually go ahead with the VP , drop our habits our addictions our everything.
ofcourse theres the thing about law, now as long as that is there again there will be power and thereby clashes.
now one cannot do without it as well.
the middle class and not well to do already will definitely love this idea but those well established wont. in order to overcome and make a change everything should be abolished money religion everything – which is not possible, not without some sort of major event or turnaround cataclysm right?
