World Tour Update
Reflections – from the World Tour
Ft. Myer’s Airport Sunday April 4, 2010 6:45 A.M.- stepping out onto the tarmac – I take a look back – and over at Jacque . . . . who smiles - as we board & begin this incredible Lecture Tour circuit – that will takes us around the world – to over 20 different countries – and thousands of interested peoples.
It’s warm as we leave America – bound for Columbia – on the first of many international connecting flights and destinations.
Jacque is comfortable, and is never the least bit nervous or apprehensive – as he busies himself pouring over locations, dates, and contacts.
We made it to Columbia. Flight was fine of course a short one but you can’t go wrong in business class. Jacque’s age does come with some perks. A lot of luggage to deal with for carry on, two small but heavy suitcases, laptop, filled pocket book and Jacque. I feel like a work mule. I am tempted to dump one suitcase already!
We have a 5 star hotel for 2 days courtesy of the university then when we start paying we are moving to one more our style and price. We could all move into this one. It is bigger than my house.
The guys who picked us up at the airport are wonderful. We have been spending as much private time as possible with the Zeitgeist members and supporters and should be able to do more of this as we don’t leave here until the 11th.
We wish to thank all of you who have been so supportive, and welcoming of this Lecture Tour. We appreciate each and everyone of you – and are excited to be able to finally meet you, and spend some time together.
Lecture will begin here in just a few hours! More updates coming soon!
Wednesday April 7th, 2010
We have finished the lecture on Wednesday April 7th. The audience seemed very interested. We deeply appreciate the help of Gabriel Vivas who did the translation and is working tireless with to translate almost everywhere we go.
There were many questions that ran overtime, as usual, so we tried to accommodate them and about 40 people met with us in our hotel and we continued the conversation there into the evening. This in fact has been going on each night since we have been here, we have been meeting with groups of people privately who want to know more about this directions.
We did several interviews with newspapers, tv and radio and of course what is most important to us we again met in the evening with many Zeitgeist members to discuss this direction. We are pleasantly surprise with the amount of people who have worked so hard to bring this visit and lecture about .

I have looked extensively at the Venus Project and the Zeitgeist movement. On the surface it looks appealing but what you have not taken into account is the want of immediate gratifcation. Most of the masses want this and are used to it given the current technology. By having to Share space you have created scarcity.
For example two people wish to use the activities hall for a wedding or bar mitzfah or aTHiEstic civil union or whatever, They all want the same date at the same time. How do you choose who gets it? Through a lottery? Or monetizing the CONVENIENCE. I’m afraid you would create a world with a subculture of money that would just be based on convenience. Someone would eventually learn to capitalize on it and become a broker of sorts that would start the whole process over.
While I agree that the current system is on the verge of collapse The answer is libertarianism and watch odg government that looks for corruption and imprisons it instead of controlling it. Small business makes more jobs than big business. Period. Is the the stranglehold of the large corporations on our government that causes meltdowns and then the government has to rebuild its house of cards based on its own structure.
You have nice little idea and I would personally like to see your utopia. Unfortunately I have little faith in man to pull it off.
I am utterly gutted that I can’t see Mr Fresco speak in Auckland tonight. I have so many “things” that need “validation”. I understand that it’s just a shift in thinking, that can actually take us there… and also realise that all this will take is education and a single generation of children… Shame he doesn’t have super powers lol. I wish I could have seen him… All the best for our future

Cant wait to be at his conference in Wellington New Zealand!!! few days away
I hope your tour is going fine. Everyday I see more and more information about you and the movement in the internet.
This vision of the future is very appealing and reminds me greatly of the future Earth depicted in Star Trek, where they also have no monetary system, no poverty, no war, and great respect for individual freedom. My question is similar to Nick’s, but at a more fundamental level. Suppose two people desire to live in the same place — perhaps an apartment with a really great view — who decides who gets it? In the past, we have come up with three ways I can think of: a tribal leader or government authority decides; violence decides; or money decides. Another example, I live on a large farm which has been in my family 140 years. Our family wishes to continue on this land, for which we have great affection. Suppose 2 other families wish to settle on our land. Suppose further that we dislike one of these families because their children bully our own; and suppose that the second family wishes to run sheep on land we plan to plant with hazelnut trees. Who or what determines how these direct conflicts of interest are handled. Somebody gets what they want and somebody does not in these scenarios. Do we continue to own the land and have the power to keep the others out? If not, then our freedoms are abridged, are they not? Or does an authority of some type require us to share it? If not, by definition, don’t we have a different share of the community’s resources than the other families, especially if they previously lived in small houses in town? And if we are forced to live together on the land who decides whether it’s sheep or hazelnuts?
This is to Nick and farmerjane: Both of your questions are about human interaction, and I believe that on this subject we have to “grow” the most. In the case of farmerjane you see 3 solutions, but I see more. It might sound rather obvious, but it’s dialog, talk to them and find a way for everyone to be happy.
An example of how things can work out in dialog might be my own parents and their neighbors. At first they disliked each other, but after they set down and got to know each other they came to terms.
Lately things have gotten even better since my parents got a really fancy barbecue that both of them can use, in response they decided to get a pool, and in response to that my parents got a jacuzzi and now are considering a sauna. All for the use of both family’s.
Apart from their almost inhuman affection for good food and relaxation, it does strike me as the ultimate in getting along, at least in my experience.
