If you’d love to live in the kind of world The Venus Project advocates, we need your help.
It doesn’t have to be financially either, (though unfortunately, still operating in a monetary system, we need that too) as this blog provides a new medium which makes it easy for you to do your part.
Right now, the most important task we have is to expose the ideas of the Venus Project to more and more people, making them aware that the systems of money, and politics that restrict humanity, CAN be overcome and that we HAVE the plans for how to do it.
This is where you come in.
On our own, we can only do so much talking, but with enough voices like yours, it will become impossible for the noise we make to be ignored.
The best free ways you can help out and spread the word are:

PHASE TWO
Phase Two includes the production of a full-length feature film that will depict how a world embracing the proposals advanced by The Venus Project would work. This film would provide a positive vision of a peaceful society in which all human beings form a global family on planet Earth. A civilization in which all people are engaged in the pursuit of a better understanding of the world they share. This film has been designed to be an entertaining and educational experience for both adults and children.
PHASE THREE
To test its designs and proposals The Venus Project is working towards putting its ideals into practice by the construction of an experimental research city. Blueprints for most of the initial technologies and buildings have begun. Fund-raising efforts are currently under way to help support the construction of this first experimental city. This new experimental research city would be devoted to working towards the aims and goals of The Venus Project, which are:
1. Realizing the declaration of the world’s resources as being the common heritage of all people.
2. Transcending the artificial boundaries that currently and arbitrarily separate people.
3. Replacing money-based nationalistic economies with a resource-based world economy.
4. Assisting in stabilizing the world’s population through education and voluntary birth control.
5. Reclaiming and restoring the natural environment to the best of our ability.
6. Redesigning cities, transportation systems, agricultural industries, and industrial plants so that they are energy efficient, clean, and able to conveniently serve the needs of all people.
7. Gradually outgrowing corporate entities and governments, (local, national, or supra- national) as means of social management.
8. Sharing and applying new technologies for the benefit of all nations.
9. Developing and using clean renewable energy sources.
10. Manufacturing the highest quality products for the benefit of the world’s people.
11. Requiring environmental impact studies prior to construction of any mega projects.
12. Encouraging the widest range of creativity and incentive toward constructive endeavour.
13. Outgrowing nationalism, bigotry, and prejudice through education.
14. Eliminating elitism, technical or otherwise.
15. Arriving at methodologies by careful research rather than random opinions.
16. Enhancing communication in schools so that our language is relevant to the physical conditions of the world.
17. Providing not only the necessities of life, but also offering challenges that stimulate the mind while emphasizing individuality rather than uniformity.
18. Finally, preparing people intellectually and emotionally for the changes and challenges that lie ahead.
PHASE FOUR
After the research experimental city is built, a theme park is also planned that will both entertain and inform visitors about the possibilities for humane and environmentally friendly life-styles planned by The Venus Project. It will feature intelligent houses; high-efficiency, non polluting transportation systems; advanced computer technology; and a number of other innovations that can add value to the lives of all people – in a very short period of time.
No one can actually predict the future. We can only extrapolate on present information and trends. Population growth, technological change, worldwide environmental conditions, and available resources are the primary criteria for future projections.
There is no single philosophy or point of view whether religious, political, scientific, or ideological, that someone would not take issue with. We feel certain, however, that the only aspects of The Venus Project that may appear threatening are those which others project onto it.
The Venus Project is neither Utopian nor Orwellian, nor does it reflect the dreams of impractical idealists. Instead, it presents attainable goals requiring only the intelligent application of what we already know. The only limitations are those which we impose upon ourselves.

I for one am happy to see the recent protest. Such a large demonstration has the power to open the eyes of others, and may very well lead to the change this planet is in dire need of. I hope this leads to people seeing the benefits you see, of a resource based economy. I would love to see all this give your ideas and projects great exposure and support.
Well, i, personally, would love to help. However, i’m confused with the jargon i find in the Zeitgeist Movement wiki, Roxanne. It promotes alternative medicine, rejecting licenced doctors and their medicines, and many are not filled in correctly. What i would like to see on this blog is a post that may detail, step by step, convenient, instant action on how to ‘get off the grid’ efficently, with as low cost and high profit margin as possible– which i will assure you, i will donate any non-important income i earn to the Venus Project so you can further your goals to educate.
I would love to see something like this, a bitesized little chunk of how to easily reject the system and promote the Technological Economy. Many people i contact hit a wall of text like on the movement website and decide not to bother even hearing out the aims.

Hi Wiri. Although I thought your comment was very interested and productive in terms of information requested, I do think one needs to acknowledge that almost no celebrity (one can never quite know for sure) would be involved or endorse the project at this point in time. This is merely due to the fact that promoting real equality between the people will undermine and extinct the privileged which, although many celebrities endorse helping the poor, they don’t intend on being regular joes.
Surely great minds like Jacque and Roxanne know of this (once again I mention there might be one or two celebrities eccentric enough in a good way to participate but now the ones you’d actually need for media attention) and will most likely be betting on alternative solutions.
Also do keep in mind the recommended readings and screenings such as Zeitgeist Addendum which will remind you that most media is controlled and no puppets will indeed get this out and risk losing their jobs.
Just trying to be realistic here. I would although like to see other ways of helping the magnificent Venus Project implemented such as ways to help determine errors and solutions for those of us who have the needed qualifications to actually help even great minds like the ones already in the project’s team.

Hi people, I live and work in Italy. I am a simple worker and I work for Brembo BCBS. I found a way to produce electric energy from salt water and the material they use to make the brake discs. it gives me from 2 to 4 volts with 13 little pieces which I put in series and a few drops of salt water in the connections between. It goes on until there is water, as it evaporates there is not energy anymore. I have to tell that I made a little modification in the structure of the silicon carbide using plasma on the surface. it made small crystals and now I have one of these pieces older than 3 weeks that gives me always the same current: 0,4 volts . I put salt water for 3 days hoping to discharge it and it gives me the same. can anybody tell me if there is any chemical reaction between silicon carbide and salt water?….I used also sodium bicarbonate and it is the same as salt. when I touch the small crystals I made,even if there is just a little trace of humidity, and any other part of the piece , then it gives me current. If I use gold in the connections it’s the same but for some strange reason when I connect more than two or three pieces the voltage disappears or changes direction. If I use silicon it goes on for a few minutes then I have to put fresh water. So I used very small tin pieces to connect the silicon carbide pieces and this is the way to produce very much energy to light up a small 1.5 volts led for 24 hours and more if you put fresh water. I think it’s time to help me people! I don’t know what exactly happens here but if I put together all the energy it still gives me then you will see that it surpasses all the chemical reactions you can ever see or invent. please help me help you

I have an idea for a short video clip (maybe a youtube ad to promote The Venus Project). I have no equipment to produce it, but I can write the script if others are interested.
The concept is to have two pairs of hands exchanging money for items of technology. The technology begins as something produced in China 2,600 years ago, and moves through to the latest ipod or some other gadget. The voice over explains how our technology has changed remarkably over the centuries but the technology of money has gone unquestioned despite the great social problems caused by our monetary system. It finishes by posing the question if the time to rethink money has come, and links people to the one of the movements movies or The Venus Project directly.
If The Venus Project team approved the idea and script, and others would be interested in helping to make the it, please let me know.

I found a way to produce electricity from water without chemical reaction. Someone called it electrokinetic effects of fluids and patented a different device that works almost like mine. I don’t want to patent it because I don’t want money. All I want is people that understand and make experiments like me to reach higher results. The sequence of the materials I use is this: TIN(metal)-GRAPHITE-WATER-SILICON-TIN-GRAPHITE-WATER-SILICON … etcetera.I used glasses to make the first experiments. Every glass contains two electrodes, one is a graphite from a pencil and the other is a piece of monocrystalline silicon, and water .I join the silicon piece to the graphite of the other glass with tin, the one you use to sold wires. Every glass gives me from 0.2 to 0.6 volts.So I made smaller cells because it seems that the size of the elements is not important for the voltage. The amperage is very low but both the voltage and the amperage increase with the amount of the cells. I closed the cells so water can’t evaporate. Now it works for more than one month. I connected two capacitors to discharge them from time to time.

I tryed to explain it to my 9 and 12 year olds. The 12 year old found it interesting but I lost her as soon as I got into the details.
Let’s start brainwashing(for lack of better words) our kids with the venus project instead of religion, they will thank us later…

We build a software application to empower people to vote for things and somehow manage to slip a regulation into government, which states that if enough people vote for something that thing… happens. And that thing could be that we throw away the money system and give it a go with the venus project’s philosophy!
I’ve been thinking about these application regarding voting for a while and have thrown out the idea out there in occasions.
The reaction I usually get from older crowds is that it’s.. inviable… younger crowds usually react with a more enthusiastic response, but end giving up the idea, consumed by the problems that they face day to day, like paying your mortgage or/and eating
It’s discouraging to see people give up these ideas, and instead keep worrying about their economic necessities, as they think they cannot make a difference.
In my opinion, one solution is to understand the economic system and use it to survive these days, whilst at the same time, to stay informed and spread the word of these common sense, facts and fantastic ideas, until enough people know, and we have the means to actually change the way things are going.
I hope those means are the establishment of a democratic choice of the next step to take in our society and that with enough people understanding the pros and cons of the different alternatives we will make the best decision.

I think the idea of puting in a regulation in government that says what the people vote for must come true is not a bad idea, only the government is smarter then that.
They won’t give us their power of decision making that easely.
But we MUST get the government envolved and get them on our side at some degree.
If we fail to do so, the road towards “the venus project” will be a very long and difficult one.
WE WILL GET THERE AT SOME POINT, I’m sure of that, I just want to be a part of it before I dye.

I am new to a lot of this, have only recently finished watching the Zeitgeist Addendum, have been browsing through all the sites over the past few days… I am hooked! I would like to talk to someone about something though, and this is the closest thing to a blog or contact that I could find (although maybe I didn’t look hard enough?).
In the film and in some of the sites here, it is said that things like greed, hatred, bigotry etc are not innate in humans. I would love to believe this, and think it is likely true in many cases (that they are learned behaviors) however what I would like to talk to someone about is this: if they are now learned behaviors, a part of society but not inherant in humans when we are born, then how did they start? I mean, someone, at some time, must have had that in them or made decisions based on greed etc… do you think that these things might be inherant in some? That is was a fluke that then was perpetuated or something?
I am very interested in this, would love to hear anyone’s thoughts on it (or even suggestions on what to read to learn more about this kind of thing specifically)… my question might not be phrased correctly, I have been thinking of this stuff for a couple days but not fully wrapped my head around it. Please be patient with me in case I need to rephrase or modify my question!

I was thinking the same thing myself today actually… I am a teacher and have done some work on renewable energy with some of my students (they’re 6 and 7!) and today was thinking about showing them part of the second half of the Zeitgeist Addendum. They’re young, but they have some great ideas and I think it would be great to start helping them access ideas such as those detailed in Zeitgeist and in the Venus Project site. I was trying to think of the best way to introduce some of these ideas to my little guys… have thought about writing children’s books before, non-fiction books actually and especially those accesible by emerging readers. Maybe I will start with some of these topics, maybe I will make that my summer project! Glad to hear there are others with similar ideas. In the meantime, if you come up with anything exciting, please let me know, I would love to be involved!

They already work as a non-monetary sistem. I have watched the zeitgeist movies, and like many of you, spent all my free time on researching the facts and sources. Sufficient to say that i have seen enough proof, and i feel more and more aligned with the ideals that the venus project advocates. I do have two questions (so far) though:
1:would this new society prohibit anything? such as alcohol, tobacco, drugs etc. and how would that be done?
2:If a man kills because of a mental disorder for instance, how would you go about solving the problem?

Those are the toughts of anybody I talk to about the vinus project idea.
let me tell you what I think,
1:the rule of prohibition comes from this present society where people fallow rulls and regulations instead of there soul.Plus, the rules in place are made in a way to favor bad behavors.When you remove the monetary system and you replace it with the good intentions of the human race, I truly believe that we will surpass all our expactations.
2:I would like to beleive that there won<t be any bad behavors after a while, but to be realistic, al problems won’t go away all at once. So the way to deal with them would be in a much more humane way then we do presently. Jacque Fresco talked about it in one of his videos.
BOTTOM LINE: We must all do our parts to take this next huge step into the wonderfull evolution of the human kind. The movement in inevitable.
It is only a matter of time, the sooner we get rid of the governements and we give power to the people and let the people learn how to think for themselves and make them taste the true freedom that we deserve, the sooner it will happen.
I am not holding my breath, this is going to be a verry long process and I don’t think that none of us alive at this date will see any major improvement of quality of life in a global scale.
But let’s all do our part and the way to do our part is within ourselvs,the only think you control is yourself, you have total power over youself, so use it to do good and the world will fallow.

I am almost 20 years old guy from Latvia, the middle country of Baltic Countries, also the country witch is literally and brutally killed by economic crisis ( also know as the period when the banks is gathering the profit they gain by selling the thin air – “money” ).
I am fully statisfied with this project nad now – my second dream is to see and talk at least for few minutes with you both.
Unfourtinately i cannot afford this trip to you ( don’t get me wrong – I am not asking to sponsor me ). The point is it would be my second dream – first one is to get full Drum set. But I dream to visit you…
Also – I am Delphi ( Object Oriented Pascal ) programmer and might be I am useful to this project because in my humble opinion it is the only way to hopefully save this planet for its natural destruction because human behavior just is trigger to Doomsday.
I really hope that you will read this. i also think to make some video, a something like “The Zeitgeist: As the part of Monetary Slave”. It would be conceptually as the thoughts after watching the movies.
Also – It would be the very ultimate goal to provide television with these films. I mean – the internet based television – non-government or anti-piracy controlled streaming 24/7. I know it needs resources, but – if I can do something, let me know…
Also – it is very recommended to watch film “The Secret”, witch in some view overlays with Zeitgeist message.

I know that I’m one of many that want to assist and effect change and realise that this should start in our very homes… Here in South Africa there are many living in poverty that do not have the internet let alone electricity… they more than me currently need this change.
I also know that they are the majority.
It’s strange how this information is not readily available or wide spread, there’s so much hype about going green and I would like to be more effective than just changing to energy efficient light bulbs and recyclable bags for shopping (I know! This is how frustrating it is in “Pleasant Ville”).
Since I am one and in effect “all” I would like to start making that difference because I know that it’s the collective that needs to act simultaneously in order to effect this change in the shortest time period possible.

What happens when the corporate interest refuses to share to its ‘owned’ resources? Even with a financial collapse where the unemployed embrace this knowledge I cannot fathom it requiring any less than global rioting. Am I delusional or does it seem likely the elite with try to exterminate us before handing over equilibrium?

I cannot explain the hope and affirmation that I felt when I saw the zietgiest movies and learned of Jaque, his team, and the venus prodject. I realized that everything I thought the world should be when I was younger….I was right, and that all these years of pain and not understanding how or why a sociaty[and a "GOD"] would be the way they are, THANK YOU ALL for being the people you are and being brave to stand up and organize and saying things are not ok. All my life I have looked for a reason that I feel the way I do about love, education, technology, respect for another human being no matter the differences between us, and b/c of the way sociaty teaches us I just thought I was younge and that one day it would become clear to me and I would understand….Well it did become clear at least I was right about that part, but it is only b/c of you wonderful, smart, beautiful people that I now feel not alone, like I could contribute something meaningful to the world or to have a meaningful scientific debate/conversation about things with a person one day and solve a problem or spread awareness. I know that this comment is long and this may not have been the propper place for it I’m sorry but I was just searching for a way contact you tell you I want there to be a way that I could lend my services to the movement and to thank you. I am an electrician, I also tinker with building sport cars, and have a love for science, I am 26 yrs old yes I know that this may be of a younge age but I assure you that I am not a “normal” man for my age. My simple way of understanding how the value of products and services is relative is VERY simple. A beer when you are in the position to enjoy one is worth more than many when you aren’t. I often think of myself as an enforcer of karma (seems counter-intuitive but..) over-tipping the waitress who was just under-tipped by an obnoxious patron. Assisting another person in a time of need, where your specialization can be put to task, without seeking profit, taking advantage of the recipient, I feel a benevolent spirit wash over me and I have hope that one day, maybe, I will be able to live and work in commune with those who share the same ideals.
I often participate in a system of barter with my fellow tradespeople, where favors (man hours) are documented and can be traded amongst participants. I commonly perform work outside of my normal wage-creating duties, in which I prefer to accept products or services in trade and often leave it open, for the remuneration to be paid when it is of need on my end. And maybe it isn’t the recipient themselves that pays me back, sometimes they know someone who will hook me up in some way or another. I can say that in my many years as a locksmith, this system has been very successful for myself and all participants and I would say it has been instrumental in the development of rapport with my peers and has led to much patronage in business.
Since I, like many others, must work within this monetary system to pay off debts for education, living expenses, it is difficult to fathom that we can just easily walk away from it, especially those of us with children. What I suggest is that we work together both within the monetary system (we cannot completely escape costs of building an expo city and promoting this cause) and by bypassing it by donating our time and cutting out the profiteers as much as we can. Therefore, donating my time towards the construction of such an exposition (Phase Three) sounds dutiful and something which I would be willing to participate in.
One of the most difficult things to overcome in the progressive development of such ideologies is bypassing or working within the current paradigm. I would like to propose that a registry be composed of technicians and professionals of all backgrounds able to donate time to work on the project in all of its Phases.

I would love to know how that project turned out with your young students and if there was any feedback, both negative and positive. Just recently a school and its teacher in a suburb of Philadelphia was under fire for “praising Obama” in an “unauthorized” video that was posted on YouTube. The parents were outraged that their children were featured in a video praising President Obama. What parents were more concerned with the idea that their children were being “indoctrinated” and “subjected to partisan politics.” (nzherald, Sept 2009) Kudos to you for expanding the potential of the generations of tomorrow.

I love your website! Although I was already aware of about 99% of the knowledge you presented it is most definitely one of the best websites that I have ever seen on the concept of our needs for Societal Redefination. What has virtually taken me several years now to research, ascertain, comprehend, and spiritually realize, you convey so much of in just a little over 1 hour in the zeitgeist presentation. It is so difficult to find good resources which outline what we as individuals need to know inorder to successfully redefine our society for the betterment of all mankind. Most of the legitimate sources only address the symptoms of our societal disease and don’t address the cause much less the cure for such a disease. And the rest are such biased, corrupted, and indoctrinated sources of information that it just clutters the minds of those who seek the truth! It is sources like this which so clearly communicate the information, the ethics, and the spirituality of what we as humans need to do in the very near future for the preservation of humanity. I am absolutely thrilled to see such a wonderful blog as this. Another source of information that I would highly recommend to all who enjoyed this site is the book “Millennium Dawn” by Dr. Glen T. I cant take this world anymore and i just want to go somewhere i can work and live without having my human rights nickeled and dimed to me. At around the age of 7 years old I viewed on the television – John Lennons – Imagine :music clip. At the completion of the clip I asked my parents why is that so impossible and difficult. Why not we live in a world in which we can live together,etc…their response was…
The world is the way it is and because we live with money, there will always be the extremes of the rich and poor and everything in between…
I couldnt except that as an answer….So I asked again…
“Why cant we live in world where there is no badness?”
….and I got a similar response that…”money is the root of all evil”…So I asked my father, why dont we share the money to everybody or no use it at all…Again the response was…”Shaun…,we need money to survive…”
Well now im 27…and its 20 years on and my parents still say its the “root of all evil”…So I ask them now…Lets do something about it…And they will not because they have accepted it to be the way it is…how unfortunate…:(
….If you accept your existence to be the way it is and not only question but act on how you feel, what you want to achieve, who you strive to be as an individual then your life will become stagmented unfortunately….

Hello fellow, venus project and zeitgeist followers…I hope this is not just another scam, to avert the attention who really care about humanity and want a peaceful loving solution to the way we have behaved as humans since coming to this planet.
I have a training course which could be used as a platform to promote the venus project’s way of living in a resource based economy.
First of all maybe we need to all get together and find away to live off the grid before they just end up killing the lot of us that are willing to put our names to this.
History shows us that anyone who has stood up for truth, peace, love etc..in the past has just been killed or murdered, through character assasination or physically one way or the other.

Im from South Africa and it seems lyk high school students and other tertiary student are taking it serious but im concerned about why the adults don’t see the idea. My country is about to host a world cup and i think that it is a gud chance to display ur plans. South africa has trouble in technology development.

I live in South Africa and have watched both Zeitgeist and the Addenda. Although I was not aware exactly how the monetary system works, I knew that somewhere along the line something was not quite right. The Venus Project looks all very well, but the big problem is that it requires a HELL of a lot of money to build something like this, putting it far out of reach of anyone but the filthy rich. How to do intend to bring it down to ‘ground level’, so that ordinary workhorses can turn their backs on the present system?
You want to rely on ‘technology’ do liberate the people from their drudgery, but most of us cannot afford the technology you envision, which makes the Venus Project very much an elitist ideology, does it not?
If you want anything that resembles your movement to get off the ground, you have to make it available to anyone and everyone.
If you want to attain your goals, the second thing you have to do is convince the people that they must kill the economy. The first thing you must do, therefore, is show the people how to thrive without the economy – it is a damned sight easier than it first appears.
Imagine what would happen if half the workforce did not pitch up for work one day and this continued until only the ‘bosses’ were present. Imagine that no incentive could lure ANYONE to ‘go to work’ to earn a living. Imagine that people discovered that actually LIVING was far more preferable to earning the semblance of one. I think that, if you could show people that they do not have to work in order to live, they would be very reluctant indeed to go back to the daily grind.
Such a system is well within our grasp, right now, without any fancy technology.

Ok, I have read and watched the videos. I just don’t understand what to do? I have a couple of blogs and rss feed information about the Venus Project and I’m on several NING social sites and I have links added to them, and I know it was said how important it is to inform and educated the people, but without money to purchase property and equipment to build these structures I dont see how a movie is going to make any of this happen. We may wish for a non monitary system but no one is going to give away large quantites of property for these cities. Can we get to the basics of the ground breaking? Or can I take the initiative and break my own ground?
Kenneth, I agree with your comment and now that I think more about it, maybe what has been introduced is like a prophecy of the future and now that its in our head “that which a man thinketh he can bring into existence”. We are the ones to make it happen, and stop asking questions about what “they” are going to do; I know you are saying, with what money? As for the copyright issue, im a photographer and i am very familar with the terms. You will not have any problems as long as you name the founders of the project, and creators of the photographs, and plans. Dont plagarise anything as your own lol and your good too go!!!

I noticed many people want to make this happen and have a few thoughts to help – i hope so…
I am an architect and work around the world on eco village projects. These are like mini Venus Projects in many ways because they are run as shared resources.
For example, let me explain a typical project.
1. Get a group of people that want to share resources and get off “the system”.
2. Purchase land together. Its cheap if you live away from the big cities.
3. Build a common Gen Pack. Generation Pack. A combination of PV solar Cells and Solar Thermal. Now you have electricity and hot water.
4. Build a common “Building Factory”. This is a mini warehouse with tolls and templates for construction. This allows you to rapidly and cheaply build houses. By using the “economy of scale” principle.
5. Start building houses designed to be sustainable economically and environmentally.
6. Build a shared food and live stock area. Again use technology as much as possible so that it can run itself as much as possible.
7. Agree of how it works – like a common set of principles.
i want to add that in the above plans there are 3 areas where engineering shared knowldeg proejcts need to be investigated to amek it work.
a. Gen Pack. You can build Solar Thermal Systems that are know as “District Heating Systems” where everyones collector link up to a underground water storage vessel. In summer the energy goes into it, so that in Winter everyone has heating.
b. Building Technology. Things like “SIP” – structurally insulated panels are a very smart way of building and once tooled up for in the workshop are cheap and quick, and very low energy building. Google SIP.
c. Farming automation. There are many projects out there that show how to do this.

It gives me hope for my 10 and 13 year olds.
